Designed for majors. Emphasizes theoretical approaches and critical strategies for the written analysis of poetry, fiction, and drama and/or film. Writing intensive. Required for the major. Students who major in English should complete 220 by the end of the sophomore year. Those who do not meet this deadline must make special arrangements with the Chair.
In an effort to provide all English majors at Davidson a similar foundation for whatever they choose to focus on in their English career, Lit Analysis gave me a lot of opportunities to analyze and write about a variety of literature, from short stories and poems to plays and alternative online narratives. The capstone of this course was to create this website, which I plan to use to accumulate all my work from my college career and beyond.
